Meet Dayirai Kapfunde (Dye-Rye) MSW RCSW-S
Here to walk with you — through burnout, identity, and meaningful pause.
I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker and public health scholar grounded in collective care, rest, and healing in relationship.
For over 15 years, I have supported individuals, couples, families, and communities navigating burnout, workplace harm, identity-based stress, and complex transitions.
My work integrates trauma-informed clinical practice, cultural responsiveness, and public health insight to help clients pause, regulate, and heal sustainably and together.
Why I Do This Work
My work is rooted in lived experience. Losing my mother at 16 and witnessing her death profoundly shaped how I understand grief, resilience, and the long arc of healing. That loss changed me, and it continues to guide how I show up: with steadiness, honesty, and deep respect for what people carry.
Over time, I came to believe that even painful seasons can hold meaning. I committed to walking alongside others as they make sense of their experiences on their own terms, at their own pace.
Every person has a story worth honouring. My role is not to “fix” you. My role is to listen deeply, bear witness, and support insight, healing, and change that feels true to you.
How I Show Up
My work is grounded in Ubuntu, trauma science, and deep respect for lived experience.
I don’t see people as problems to fix. I see stories, identities, relationships, and contexts that deserve care.
You can expect a calm, steady presence - and thoughtful, direct reflection when needed. I am not afraid of hard conversations.
Together, we notice patterns, explore what may be getting in the way, and build tools that support meaningful, sustainable change.
This is collaborative work.
Healing happens in relationship.
